# Temporary SR Associate - Sox Risk ConsultingApply**Job#: 3051756****Job Description:**Position OverviewWe are seeking a **Temporary Senior Associate** to support SOX compliance and internal controls projects within our Risk Consulting practice. The ideal candidate will have strong experience executing SOX business process control testing, working directly with client stakeholders, and managing evidence requests in a fast-paced consulting environment.Required Qualifications* 5+ years of SOX compliance experience, preferably within a Big 4, public accounting, or consulting environment.* Strong experience performing SOX business process control testing.* Experience conducting walkthroughs and documenting business processes and controls.* Ability to develop and execute test procedures, review supporting evidence, and identify control exceptions.* Proven experience independently executing testing engagements and documenting workpapers.* Solid ability to communicate testing observations, findings, and results to client stakeholders.* Advanced Excel and documentation skills.* Comfortable working directly with clients and proactively following up on outstanding evidence requests.* Ability to work in a hybrid environment and be on-site in **Toronto a minimum of three days per week**.* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-based environment.Preferred Qualifications* Experience supporting clients within the mining industry.* Experience with remediation activities and retesting control deficiencies.* Prior consulting or professional services experience.Key Responsibilities* Execute SOX business process control testing.* Perform walkthroughs and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.* Review supporting evidence and identify control deficiencies and exceptions.* Prepare high-quality workpapers and testing documentation.* Communicate testing results and observations to client and engagement leadership.* Manage evidence requests and follow up with client stakeholders to support project timelines.* Support remediation validation and control retesting activities as needed. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
