Join the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council as a full time Registered Nurse focusing on community health and home care. Deliver vital nursing services to Indigenous individuals and families across various community settings.

This unique nurse position based in Port Alberni includes travel to remote communities. You'll provide health promotion, disease prevention, and education aligned with the Nuu-chah-nulth Nursing framework, emphasizing culturally safe and trauma-informed practices. Whether facilitating immunization clinics or offering chronic disease management, your role is pivotal to community health.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct immunization clinics and health education sessions
• Provide comprehensive home care and chronic disease management




• Establish community partnerships to improve health outcomes
• Assess health needs of individuals, groups, and communities
• Guide prenatal, post-natal, and breastfeeding support programs

Requirements:
• Current RN license with BC College of Nurses
• Experience with First Nations communities preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• Valid BC Driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Successful completion of immunization course
