Position Title

Ambulatory Clinic RN- Osawatomie Family Medicine Triage

Days - Full Time

Osawatomie Medical Pavilion

Position Summary / Career Interest
Hours: M-F , 8-5:00pm.

The registered nurse utilized the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Responsible for promoting and restoring patient's health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and team members; and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Exhibits the core values of Miami County Medical Center, compassion, integrity and unity. He/she practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational/departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions

Consistently meets work schedule.

Demonstrates critical thinking utilizing all aspects of the nursing process.

Maintains a safe workplace for patients.

Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physician's offices and other institutions.

Answers patient/significant others phone calls, evaluate patient's needs, and triage patient care.

Provides patient/family education using resources available.

Acts as liaison between patient, significant others and health team members.

Identifies area for professional growth.

Participates fully as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team.

Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education And Experience

Associate Degree Nursing

Preferred Education And Experience

1 or more years of previous healthcare experience

Required Licensure And Certification

CPR/ AED/ BLS - Other BLS within 14 days

Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State - State Board of Nursing upon Hire
