Compensation Pay Class 13 (range of $24.02 to $29.65 per hour) Duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for shipping, receiving and recycling equipment according to policies and procedures established by Special Needs Equipment, the Saskatchewan Aids to Independent Living program and SaskAbilities. The incumbent will also assist in the efficient operation of the provincial warehouse by performing inventory management tasks and providing support to four Special Needs Equipment depots in Saskatchewan. Duties include:
Receive, document and incorporate recent stock into inventory Ship equipment and parts as required to clients and/or requisitioners Determine appropriate shipping method for outgoing shipments, prepare equipment (box, wrap, tag, etc.) and complete necessary shipment documentation
Ensure that all inventory is clean, in safe working order and is ready for distribution to clients Support Special Needs Equipment depots by palletizing and shipping stock orders (equipment and parts) Unload bulk shipments including palletized equipment such as hospital beds, lifts, wheelchairs, etc.; this includes dismantling the shipment,
re-packing components into smaller loads and/or unpacking stock onto warehouse shelves
Operate hand tools including drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers and other equipment such as a pressure washer, air compressor, pallet jacks and a forklift Assist in the organization of space in the warehouse and monitor inventory levels to ensure quantities are sufficient to meet demand Qualifications:
Education
Grade 12 or equivalent Forklift certification an asset Skills:
Knowledge of inventory control principles and basic accounting practices Effective interpersonal skills for handling confidential information and dealing with people in emotional situations Strong organizational skills for multi-tasking and handling competing priorities Basic computer skills and mechanical knowledge and use of power and hand tools Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
