Elevate patient care as a Speech Language Pathologist at Humber River Health. This temporary full-time role focuses on assessing and managing acute communication and swallowing disorders in various critical care settings. The role offers an opportunity to provide clinical support to adults within the ICU, Emergency Department, and other health programs at Humber River Health.
You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while documenting assessments and planning for discharges, ensuring high standards of care. This position requires a commitment to excellent communication, professional judgment, and a dedication to equity and diversity. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat patients with acute dysphagia and communication disorders
- Document patient progress and discharge plans accurately
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology students
- Provide clinical consults across multiple care sites Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required
- Registration with CASLPO mandatory
- Previous hospital experience preferred
- Robust interpersonal and organizational skills
