- 8-10+ years of experience in application support, service management, technical business analysis, solution delivery, or a related IT role within a complex enterprise environment - Demonstrated experience supporting and enhancing enterprise applications, including incident management, problem resolution, change management, upgrades, and operational sustainment - University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration (IT focus), or a related discipline.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and build trusted relationships across business and technology teams - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze data, document processes, and develop practical solutions to support business operations - Understanding of IT service management practices, change management processes, and vendor-supported environments, with exposure to platforms such as ServiceNow considered an asse - Experience working within Agile and Product Model environments, with exposure to industrial, operational, maintenance, reliability, EH&S;, facilities, or other asset-intensive business applications considered an asset - Solid analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities, with a commitment to mentoring others and fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and operational excellence Don’t have all the qualifications listed? Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of business applications by managing incidents, service requests, monitoring activities, routine maintenance, operational stability, and continuous service improvement - Establish and maintain support processes, runbooks, knowledge articles,
and operational procedures to improve service quality, consistency, and supportability - Coordinate and oversee work performed by external support providers, ensuring compliance with service levels, quality expectations, and change management standard - Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through automation, self-service capabilities, and process enhancements that reduce manual effort - Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and with Digital Solutions & Support, Enterprise Data, Cyber Security, Cloud, and Architecture teams to develop and execute technology strategies that support business objectives.
- Support ongoing application enhancements, problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing expertise across the application portfolio and related business processes - Analyze trends, recurring issues, and service performance metrics to help improve application reliability, user experience, and overall operational excellence Location and other Key Details:
- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 - 6th Ave S.W - Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with occasional site visits - Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based on years of experience and scope of work Think we are a fit?
