- Adjust liability claims involving Commercial General Liability, Auto Bodily Injury, and Personal Lines liability.
- Promptly contact and follow up with policyholders and claimants.
- Investigate claim causes and report to clients with timely recommendations.
- Identify exposures, recommend reserves and investigations, prepare action plans, and negotiate fair settlements.
- Provide high-level customer service to clients and insured parties throughout the claims process.
- Maximize business development opportunities through timely marketing and follow-up.
- Participate in after-hours customer service requirements when required.
- Perform assigned duties in compliance with established work standard, policies, and procedures.
- Support field requests within the Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton, Niagara, and Haldimand/Norfolk areas.

Requirements

- Completion of high school education; University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance will be given preference.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive).
- At least 5 years' relevant experience in claims adjusting; field experience is an asset.
- Ongoing commitment to education and learning.
- Adjuster’s license, or currently pursuing CIP designation.
- Ontario licensing is required; multijurisdictional licensing is an asset.
- Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics.
- Ability to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.




- Ability to interpret complex legal documents and perform and understand advanced numerical calculations, including comparative analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, including listening, interviewing, and negotiating, with ability to flex style for the audience.
- Proactive and positive approach to customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills for handling conflict and difficult situations.
