Registered Psychotherapist | Registered Social Worker Trauma Focused Therapist New Moon Psychotherapy is a thriving Toronto-based group practice specializing in evidence-based treatment for PTSD, complex trauma, and sexual trauma. Commitment We are looking for someone who can:

- Commit to seeing clients in-office three days per week, including at least two evening or weekend days.
- See a minimum of five clients during each in-office day.
- Offer in-person availability within the following office-access blocks:
- Day-time: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM - Evening: 3 PM – 9 PM - Weekend: Flexible You’re a great fit if you’re a mature, experienced, and grounded trauma therapist who:
- Believes, down to your core, that recovery from trauma is possible
- Wholeheartedly rejects labels such as “difficult” or “resistant” and approaches each client with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to meet them where they are.
- Are trained in one or more trauma-focused approaches, such as EMDR through an EMDRIA-approved training program, CPT, DBR, or IFS. Training in EMDR 2.0 is an asset.
- Thoughtfully integrate other evidence-based approaches, such as DBT, ACT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, somatic approaches, or Polyvagal Theory.
- Have a strong understanding of PTSD, complex trauma, and trauma-related dissociation and feel confident providing clear, accessible psychoeducation about trauma, including sexual trauma.




- Are passionate about supporting survivors of interpersonal trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, betrayal trauma, grooming, and intimate partner violence.
- Provide sex-positive, culturally responsive, and affirming care across identities.
- Value being part of a collaborative community of thoughtful, skilled clinicians.

Requirements - A completed master’s degree in a relevant clinical discipline, including all practicum requirements.If you are currently completing your practicum, please apply after graduating. This is a specialized role requiring prior clinical training and experience.

- Registration in valuable standing with the CRPO or OCSWSSW.
- Training and demonstrated experience using EMDR, CPT, IFS, or DBR in your clinical work.
- Willingness to build a caseload of at least 15 sessions per week.
- Availability to work in the office three days per week, including at least two evenings and/or weekends). This requirement is firm and reflects current client demand.
