Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Elementary Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will inspire young learners by creating engaging lesson plans and fostering a positive classroom environment. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, English, and early childhood education.
- Foster a nurturing classroom workplace that encourages curiosity, creativity, and respect among students.
- Use effective teaching strategies to support bilingual students, including those who speak English and French, ensuring inclusive learning experiences.
- Assess student progress regularly through observations, assignments, and tutoring sessions; adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student development, behavior, and achievements.
- Utilize technology tools such as Microsoft Office and educational software to enhance instruction and record keeping.
- Support students with special educational needs or disabilities by implementing individualized learning strategies and collaborating with specialists.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting, preferably in early childhood or elementary education.
- Strong command of English; bilingual proficiency in French is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and organizational skills to maintain an orderly learning environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills for lesson planning and record keeping.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education programs is a plus.
- Ability to manage time efficiently to balance lesson planning, student assessments, and administrative tasks.
- Passion for teaching, patience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments.
