The NNDSB invites applications for the following permanent position commencing 2026-2027school year:

Position:

- Indigenous Language Teacher

Required teaching qualifications:

- A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
- A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Primary, Junior and Intermediate Qualifications
- IndigenousLanguage Qualification (or working towards NL Qualification would be considered an asset)
- FMNI AQ would be considered an asset

Position Criteria:

- Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
- Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
- Evidence of understanding of varied learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students




- Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
- Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work
- Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication
