Core French Teacher

Part-time (0.5714 FTE) Position

Sentinel Secondary School

Effective September 8th, 2026 until the return of the absent teacher The annual salary for a full time teaching position ranges from $63,347 to $116,190, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the West Vancouver Teachers' Association Collective Agreement. Salary will be prorated based on FTE.

This position consists of French 10, 11 and 12.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching French
- Member of the BC College of Teachers
- Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
- Knowledge of the Ministry of education Prescribed Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Integrated Resource Packages, (IRPs) as well as providing evidence of the use of criterion referenced assessment and Performance Standards.
- Possess excellent communication skills with students,



staff and parents
- An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
- Knowledge and willingness to use Inquiry-based approach to planning and teaching
- A proven ability to develop a positive learning setting in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
