Salary : $230,400 to $279,000 per annum

Location : Victoria, BC V9B 6X2 CA (Primary)

The candidate must support Ministers by providing strategic advice on policy issues and program decisions.

The candidate must provide options for action, including potential risks and consequences.

The candidate must manage significant and complex issues while addressing stakeholder expectations.

The candidate must develop and sustain strong, strategic relationships and partnerships with First Nations, working respectfully and effectively with First Nations leaders through complex, high-profile, and often challenging consultation, engagement, and decision-making processes.

The candidate must identify matters requiring policy development to ensure efficient, consistent, high-quality, and administratively fair environmental assessments.

The candidate must devise strategic direction on relevant matters and represent the EAO to the public and stakeholders.

The candidate must lead organizational transformation through legislative, program, and process improvements that strengthen decision-making, service delivery, and continuous improvement.

The candidate must lead the organization by directing staff and ensuring activities align with government’s corporate strategic agenda.

The candidate must ensure the Office’s structure, systems, and processes enable staff to perform effectively.

The candidate must ensure human,



fiscal, information, and program resources are maximized and effectively managed to meet organizational goals.

The candidate must model corporate values and foster leadership skills throughout the organization.

The candidate must provide leadership to create a culture of engagement, accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and organizational resilience.

Job Requirements The candidate must possess a related post-secondary degree combined with significant demonstrated leadership experience at a senior management or executive level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The candidate must have recent experience at a senior management or executive level within a complex environment, ideally within a regulatory or statutory context.

The candidate must have experience leading change in a complex organization, including modernization of programs, systems, and processes to improve organizational effectiveness.

The candidate must have experience building and sustaining robust, strategic relationships and partnerships with First Nations, including working respectfully and effectively with First Nations leaders in complex, high-profile, and often challenging consultation, engagement, and decision-making processes.

The candidate must have experience employing strategic planning, policy formulation, resource allocation, and effective stakeholder and First Nations engagement in leadership roles.

The candidate must have experience building consensus, resolving disputes, and critically assessing business practices and strategies within statutory requirements that provide flexibility and discretion.
