North Blenheim Mutual Insurance Company is filling a vacancy for a full-time Intermediate Property and Liability Adjustor as a result of a retiring employee. The successful applicant will be a full-time in office customer-focused professional who communicates effectively, works co-operatively, and demonstrates respect in a team environment.

Position Overview and Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional, empathetic customer service to policyholders throughout the claims process
- Review and interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage, and communicate coverage decisions to policyholders
- Manage a caseload of moderate‑complexity property, Liability and small Commercial/Farm claims from first notice of loss through to resolution
- Negotiate with claimants, lawyers, and other insurers in order resolve claims at the best possible result for our policyholders. Manage claims in litigation, mediation, or arbitration. Provide instruction to assigned counsel
- Occasionally participate at private mediation, court proceedings and other dispute resolution as required
- Conduct thorough investigations, including interviews, scene reviews, and document analysis
- Identify and escape subrogation opportunities
- Document claim files thoroughly and accurately, including statements, photos, reports, and correspondence




- Establish and maintain appropriate reserves in accordance with company guidelines and assigned authority levels
- Negotiate fair and timely settlements with policyholders, vendors, and third parties
- Issue claim payments in accordance with company procedures and approval requirements
- Coordinate with repair facilities, contractors, and service providers
- Reinsurance documentation and recovery
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

- University degree or college diploma in business, insurance, or a related field
- Completion of, or active progress toward, the CIP designation
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience both personal lines and some commercial/Farm claims




- Strong knowledge of policy interpretation across product lines.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

- Salary range of $60,000 to $85,000 depending on experience,
