Responsibilities

- Operate and set up various manual and computer programmed machines.
- Operate equipment according to established procedures.
- Troubleshoot minor problems with fixtures or tooling.
- Change tools, inserts and adjust offsets as required to maintain tolerances.
- Check own parts against blue print drawings in various stages of production.
- Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards.

Qualifications

- Machinist Certificate of Qualification is required.
- 3+ years' work experience in a machine shop environment with large horizontal and/or vertical mills.
- Heidenhain CNC control experience is an asset.
- Ability to interpret blue print drawings and accurately read various measuring tools.
- Understanding of machinery and equipment and material tolerances.

Rotating shifts.
