Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in St Thomas, ON. The person in this position will perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and reliable operation. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, replacing worn or damaged components, and documenting all maintenance activities.

The Maintenance

Technician will work closely with production and engineering teams to support equipment changeovers, improvements, and upgrades, while following safety standards and company procedures.



This role also involves monitoring inventory of maintenance supplies, suggesting process improvements, and assisting with current equipment installation as required.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial equipment, machinery, and tooling

Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems safely and effectively

Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

Understanding of manufacturing or metal forming environments, preferably in automotive or related industries

Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to lockout/tagout and other safety procedures

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, equipment manuals, diagrams, and maintenance records

Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with production and engineering staff

Organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accurate documentation

Secondary school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or apprenticeship in maintenance, millwright, or a related trade is an asset

Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing facility is preferred
