As a key member of the Central Intake Services team, you will provide essential support to individuals facing mental health or substance use challenges.
Utilizing your expertise in screening tools and risk assessment, you'll help clients navigate healthcare services effectively. This temporary position requires strong motivational interviewing skills and a solid understanding of community resources. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate intake for mental health services
- Conduct risk assessments for client support
- Provide brief counselling and psychoeducation
- Connect clients to community resources and support
- Act as a liaison between clients and MHA services Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work
- Three years licensed experience in mental health
- Registration with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques
- Knowledge of harm reduction strategies Utilize your skills in crisis management and engagement to help clients access vital mental health resources across Nova Scotia.
