Your New Role
Reporting to the VP Finance & Business Development, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and administration of employee benefit programs across the organization.
Key responsibilities include
- Processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
- Maintaining employee payroll records and processing employee status changes.
- Reviewing and validating employee hours, overtime, vacation, and leave entitlements.
- Investigating payroll discrepancies and responding to employee payroll inquiries.
- Preparing payroll reports, Records of Employment (ROEs), and year-end payroll documentation.
- Administering employee benefits, RRSP programs, enrolments, changes, and terminations.
- Acting as a primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits questions.
- Coordinating with benefit providers to ensure accurate billing and reporting.
- Supporting onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Travelling occasionally between Brampton and Mississauga locations to support employees, resolve timeclock issues, and provide payroll-related assistance.
- Assisting with office administration and employee support activities as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed
- Post-secondary education in Payroll, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years' payroll experience, ideally within an hourly workforce environment.
- Experience processing payroll for approximately 100-200 employees.
- Mandatory ADP Workforce Now experience.
- PCP certification, or progress toward obtaining a PCP designation, is considered an asset.
- Solid communication skills and confidence interacting directly with employees by phone, email, and in person.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to resolve payroll and benefits inquiries professionally.
- A commitment to learning, professional development, and building a long-term payroll career.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel between local office locations in Brampton and Mississauga as required.
- Experience within manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or other hourly workforce environments would be highly preferred.
