We are a proud Canadian company operating since 1993 and a well-established leader in Power Tools, Power Tool Accessories, Hand Tools, and related products.

We operate five retail stores, a Distribution Center, and Head Office, serving Contractors, Trades, Industrial users, and DIY customers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team and grow with us.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the company's full-cycle accounting, month-end close, Year-end close, financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial analysis. Reporting to the Accounting Manager/Controller, you will work closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and proactive, with strong accounting knowledge and the ability to work independently in a quick-paced, multi-location retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset entries.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with sales, gross margin, costing, and operational financial analysis.
- Analyze financial results to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reported information.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Perform and review detailed GL account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and review of GST/HST, PST, QST, WCB, and other related compliance filings.
- Track and reconcile vendor rebates.




- Assist with year-end audits and preparation of audit working papers.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve accounting issues and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff when required.
- Perform ad hoc accounting analysis and projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

- Accounting or Finance degree/diploma with 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing.
- Experience preparing GST/HST, PST, and QST filings.
- Retail, inventory, or multi-location accounting experience is an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial analysis formulas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong English communication skills; French bilingualism is an asset.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proactive approach with strong attention to detail and commitment to process improvement.
