- Help protect the organization's legal interests by ensuring compliance with all laws

- Help ensure the organization's rights are protected and obligations are met

- Represent the organization in situations involving its legal interests

- Work with units responsible for procurement, and digital and technological development at Desjardins Group

- Provide legal support to procurement, technological and digital development teams during the acquisition or deployment of products and services within Desjardins Group components

- Issue legal opinions and draft and validate business agreements impacting the organization

- Analyze, interpret and monitor changes to applicable legislation and regulations

- Participate in representing the organization or negotiating with external organizations or partners

- Coordinate mandates entrusted to outside attorneys

- Help draft files for the organization's decision-making bodies

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in law
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including two years in the field of information technology

- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

- Member of the Quebec Bar

- Knowledge of French is required





- Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
