Job Title: Site Superintendent (Commercial Construction)
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Salary: $105,000 to $120,000

Our client is a growing Winnipeg-based general contractor with a strong portfolio of big-box retail and commercial projects. The company is seeking a seasoned construction leader to serve as its most senior Site Superintendent, providing leadership across multiple projects while working closely with Project Managers from pre-construction through project closeout.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role goes beyond traditional site supervision. The successful candidate will play a key role in project planning, execution, and delivery, while mentoring and developing junior Site Superintendents and helping establish best practices across the organization.

What You"ll Do
- Act as the senior Site Superintendent, providing leadership and oversight across multiple projects and site teams.
- Partner closely with Project Managers from pre-construction through closeout to support planning, scheduling, execution, and successful project delivery.
- Mentor and develop Site Superintendents, helping establish best practices and consistent field operations across the organization.
- Lead day-to-day site activities, including subcontractor coordination, site logistics, quality control, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor schedules, identify risks, and implement solutions that keep projects on track.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor delivering commercial projects.
- Proven experience managing complex projects valued at $10M with responsibility for site execution, scheduling, safety, and quality.
- Demonstrated success leading site teams, including lead hands, laborers and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, scheduling, site logistics, and project planning.
- Experience using scheduling software and coordinating detailed construction schedules throughout all project phases.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, client-focused approach.
- Journeyperson certification, Construction Management education, Engineering background, or equivalent industry experience is considered an asset.
