Employment Lawyer – Plaintiff-Side

3–4 Years of Experience | Toronto

Our client, a highly regarded employment law firm in Toronto, is seeking a talented Employment Lawyer with three to four years of experience to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who is passionate about plaintiff-side employment law and wants to handle meaningful files, gain significant advocacy experience and continue developing alongside experienced practitioners.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of plaintiff-side employment matters, including:

- Wrongful and constructive dismissal claims

- Human rights and workplace discrimination matters

- Employment contract and severance package reviews

- Workplace harassment and reprisal claims

- Disability, accommodation and return-to-work matters

- Negotiating settlements and resolving disputes

- Drafting pleadings, motions, mediation briefs and other court materials

- Conducting discoveries,



mediations, motions and court appearances

- Providing practical and strategic advice directly to clients

- Managing files independently while working collaboratively with senior lawyers and the broader team

Qualifications

- Called to the Ontario Bar with approximately three to four years of relevant experience

- Strong background in plaintiff-side employment law

- Experience managing files from initial consultation through resolution

- Demonstrated litigation, negotiation and advocacy skills

- Excellent legal writing, research and client-management abilities

- Comfortable appearing before courts, tribunals and at mediations

- Practical, responsive and compassionate approach to client service

- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
