Become part of the dedicated team at CAMH as a part time Registered Practical Nurse in the CCC-6 inpatient service. Focus on holistic psychiatric nursing care with clients aged 18 and older.

This permanent position involves working 0.45 FTE on a 25-bed unit that supports clients experiencing the acute phase of mental health and addictions disorders. Collaborate within an inter-professional team to deliver client-centered care, engage in program development, and contribute to research activities.

You will refine your skills with support from leadership during orientation involving 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the healthcare team
- Monitor mental health and substance-related disorders




- Assess mental status and physical health
- Facilitate group programs and mentoring
- Document client response to pharmaceutical interventions

Requirements:

- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR certification required
- Pursuing CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing preferred
- Experience in psychiatric nursing is an asset
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills required
