National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and team-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary hospital team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, and is committed to providing an excellent experience for both pets and their owners.
About The Role As a Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with our veterinarians and support staff to provide high-quality medical care to our patients. You will play an important role in patient care, client communication, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities - Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeries - Obtain and record patient histories and vital signs - Collect and process laboratory samples - Perform blood draws, catheter placement, IV fluid administration, and other technical procedures - Monitor patients under anesthesia and during recovery - Assist with radiographs, diagnostic testing, and laboratory procedures - Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian - Provide appropriate patient care and monitoring throughout hospitalization - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records - Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, nutrition, preventative care, and follow-up instructions - Assist with surgical preparation, cleaning, and sterilization - Maintain a clean, organized,
