Seeking experienced Dementia Caregiver/PSW for a gentle, "low-touch" companion and housekeeping role for my parents (mid-80s) in Ottawa.

My Mother (84): Has Alzheimer's dementia. She is still functioning quite well socially, but her personal hygiene is slipping and she can no longer cook.

My Father (86): Has a history of a subdermal hematoma and experiences confusion with instructions. He is proud and independent. He may need a bit of time to get used to having help, but he is overwhelmed managing the household and looking after my mother.

(laundry and bathing are falling behind).

Your initial duties will be light housekeeping and laundry. Then over time build a trusting, warm relationship with them both. Once comfort is established,



we would transition into helping my mom with her personal hygiene.

Requirements: Proven experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia.

Recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSC).

Commitment to being a consistent, weekly person they can rely on.

Schedule: Part-time (2 or 3 hours, a week. Very adaptable to suit your schedule).
