We are a warm, friendly, and reasonable family in Markham looking for a caring and reliable nanny to help look after our twin toddlers (almost 2 years old). This is a live-out, part-time position focused on both childcare and housekeeping. Compensation starts at $30/hr.

We are seeking someone with prior childcare experience, ideally with toddlers. The ability to commute to our home is important — having a vehicle would be ideal, although Markham public transit is available. Flexibility is appreciated, as the schedule may occasionally shift — for example, helping earlier if a child is sick and unable to attend daycare, or assisting with outings such as medical appointments or playdates.

Any changes would always be discussed in advance and only if the nanny feels comfortable. At this time, we handle all meal preparation ourselves.

This is a general outline of the role, and we are very open to adjusting things together as we go. We are hoping for a January start, Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to approximately 7:00 pm. Our twins attend daycare full-time, and we handle drop-off and pickup.

From 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, responsibilities would primarily involve housekeeping, including laundry, vacuuming, and tidying.



Once the twins return home around 4:00 pm, the focus will shift to toddler-related tasks such as bathing, feeding, and helping with their evening wind-down routine.

We are also looking for occasional weekend support, particularly in December, typically between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, involving a combination of childcare and housekeeping. Weekend work is optional. December can serve as a trial period for both sides to ensure a outstanding fit moving into the longer-term weekday role.

We prefer someone who speaks English; Vietnamese is a bonus but not required. We also require someone who is fully vaccinated and able to provide references and a background check.
