This position reports to: Regional Manager

We are looking for the newest member of our team to work in our Erin Mills location. This role is suitable for a seasoned manager. A highly skilled sales expert is ideal. Someone driven to make sales and has a passion for furniture or home decor.

The store manager role is responsible in overseeing all store operations and driving sales, key qualities include:

Responsibilities

- Sell home furnishings and patio furniture.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer service standards are exceeded.
- Create visual displays in the store and maintain signage.
- Support store operations by accurately and efficiently completing paperwork and POS transactions.
- Ensure compliance and consistent execution of company policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to staff in order to maximize individual contributions

Qualifications

- Candidate must have previous furniture or home decor experience at least 1 year
- Ability to establish rapport with customers and provide them with an exceptional service experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and delegation skills.
- Ability to lift/move stock weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient on POS sales register and/or computer system.




- Flair for interior decor/ merchandising an asset
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays shifts. This mall is open till 9pm on Saturday nights and is open Family day and Victoria Day .

Compensation

- Managers are paid $50,000 per year ( pay is bi weekly ) plus 1.0% commission of store sales paid monthly . We also have KPI incentive based programs based on performance to qualify for monthly and annually.
- Benefits after 3 months.
- Candidate must commit to 42.5 hrs per week or more depending on the volume

Overall

- This position is not for the average retail candidate, it is for a highly skilled , highly motivated person who is willing to do what it takes to get results.
- Previous retail management is a must , you must understand wage cost and how to drive sales.
- It is not uncommon for store managers, managers in training and assistant managers to work 50-55 hrs during peak season , it is a physical job that requires the manager to be involved , this is not a desk job with a team to delegate to.
