Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding and experience working with Indigenous communities
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, learning, and student success
- Understanding of the mining industry would be considered a solid asset
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from an appropriately accredited institution would be considered an asset
- Teacher training/certification
- General knowledge and appreciation of Indigenous cultures
- Three to five years experience teaching in a relevant subject area with adult learners
- Three to five years experience preparing and delivering courses/lessons that incorporate a wide range of teaching strategies, addressing
- the needs of adult learners
- Demonstrated digital competencies (I.e., Microsoft Suite, Videogaming, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
