Accounting Analyst - AP These Indigenous Nations, agreed to mutual sharing obligations and responsibilities as stewards of the land and water. These lands are steeped in rich Indigenous history, traditions and modern cultures that are proud and vibrant. 26.51 - $31.80 per hour Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, the Accounting Analyst - AP will provide accounting services through GAAP Standards and Government Regulations to all schools and user departments with the Board.
This position will train/mentor recent and existing staff on computerized accounting software, and relevant Board policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include vendor management, process payments, create and main spreadsheets, strong cash controls, journal entries, monthly/annual account reconciliations and preparation of year end reporting. Responsible for the verification of invoices and credit memos to be processed for payment. Responsible for Vendor of Records and Contractors service monthly account invoices for all schools and departments within the Board.
Analyze, verify, and process employee expense reports and disbursement vouchers to ensure accuracy and compliance with Board policies and procedures. Completion of a two-year college diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. One-year of related professional experience, preferably in a public sector environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with accounting operations and financial records management. Excellent computer skills utilizing databases and spreadsheets.
Satisfactory Criminal
Records and Judicial Matters Police Check.
