Job Overview The Accounts Assistant supports daily accounting operations, customer master data management, inventory reporting, expense processing, and month-end closing activities. This role works closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations to ensure transactions are accurate, properly authorized, and recorded on time.
Key Responsibilities
– Accounting Assistant The Accounting Assistant supports the company’s day-to-day accounting, inventory, and administrative operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain customer master data and process customer account change requests.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoices, credit memos, and payment applications.
- Prepare purchase orders and process transactions related to product testing, marketing, compliance, and general business expenses.
- Coordinate, review, and process expense claims for sales representatives and other employees.
- Process supplier invoices and credit memos related to company products.
- Assist with Amazon and Shopify invoicing and reconciliation.
- Perform credit card/bank reconciliations and follow up on missing receipts or transaction discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory counts, investigate differences, and prepare inventory reports.
- Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with internal departments and external parties to resolve accounting-related issues.
- Provide general accounting and administrative support and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense processing, or general accounting.
- Experience with SAP Business One or another ERP system is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
