Chicago After School Education Assistant Teacher (Part-Time)

Private school partner site(s) in Houston (program is integrated into the school's after-care). School locations are in Katy.

One day per week, Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 (British International School of Chicago, 814 W. Eastman, Chicago Il)

Brain Power Enrichment Programs is a K to 12 academic enrichment company that teaches bright, high potential students how to think, not what to think. Our programs in Math and Problem Solving, Language Arts, and Public Speaking are led by PhD level and expert educators, and we currently operate across campuses in Canada and the United States, including a growing presence in Texas.

What You Will Do

- Work with SK-Grade 1 students in an interactive math program that includes fun and interesting activities, core theory, and some tangible work.

● Arrive with materials ready and coordinate check-in and check-out with the host school's after-care staff each session. ● Serve as the point of contact for parents, students, and the school's after-care team during program hours.

● Support the assigned teacher with setup, transitions, and day-to-day logistics inside the host school's space.

● Track attendance, incident notes, and daily communications, and pass them along to the Chicago Site Director.





● Follow the host school's policies and procedures, and flag scheduling conflicts, space issues, or family concerns before they become bigger problems.

What We Are Looking For

● High energy and creativity, solid organizational habits

● Background or genuine interest in teaching young children math and problem solving (note: advanced knowledge of math is not required)

● Clear, warm communication with parents, students, and school after-care staff.
