GreenVeil Packaging Inc. is an Ontario cleantech materials company developing ultra-biodegradable and antimicrobial biocomposites for food and agricultural applications. Our proprietary platform combines wood-derived materials with Ontario-sourced minerals to create sustainable films, coatings and formed products.
Position Summary
GreenVeil is seeking a recent bachelor’s, master's or PhD graduate with a background in agriculture, plant science, food science or a related discipline. The successful candidate will coordinate and support laboratory, greenhouse, nursery and food-related validation of GreenVeil's materials and products. This role combines experimental work, technical project coordination and direct engagement with growers, food companies, research facilities, laboratories and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- · Plan and coordinate agricultural, plant-growth, nursery and food-related product trials.
- · Support testing of plantable pots, seedling plug trays, biodegradable materials and food-packaging applications.
- · Perform or coordinate measurements related to plant growth, root development, irrigation durability, soil interaction, biodegradation, food quality and shelf life.
- · Prepare samples and experimental setups for laboratory, greenhouse, nursery and field evaluations.
- · Identify relevant methods, protocols, standards, laboratories and research facilities.
- · Contact growers, nurseries,
research centres and testing laboratories to develop validation opportunities.
- · Collect, organize, analyze and interpret experimental and field data; maintain complete records.
- · Review relevant scientific literature and ASTM, ISO, biodegradation, food-packaging or agricultural standards.
- · Prepare technical reports and gather structured feedback from industry partners and potential customers.
Qualifications
- · Recently completed bachelor’s, master's degree or PhD in agriculture, plant science, horticulture, soil science, food science, food technology or a related discipline.
- · Hands-on experience with laboratory, greenhouse, agricultural or food-related experiments.
- · Experience with experimental design, measurements, data analysis and technical reporting.
- · Confidence communicating with growers, food companies, research facilities and laboratory service providers.
- · Solid organization, project coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
Program Eligibility This position is supported through a government-funded employment program. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- · Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the time of selection.
- · Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person legally entitled to work in Canada.
