The IBM – Public Sector Resourcing Team is seeking a Application Developer for a contract opportunity in the Ottawa area.

ON-SITE WORK at OTTAWA

Role description:

This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions. To be eligible for employment in this role, you must be a Canadian citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident. If you hold dual or third nationality, in addition to being either a Canadian citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident, the nationality must be from one of the below approved countries to be eligible for employment in this role: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Current Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, or the United Kingdom.

Candidates must have or eligible to obtain:

- Secret Clearance issued by the Government of Canada.



Note that candidates without this clearance must recognize that it will take up to six months to obtain it if they have Canadian citizenship.

- NATO and Controlled Goods Clearances will be required once Secret Clearance is proven/obtained.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance – Secret.

2. Years of expertise: 8+ years

Required Technical Skills:

1. C and/or C++

2. Strong understanding of integration and design patterns

3. Experience with full-stack development

4. Knowledge of security and security by design principles

5. Experience with

- DND or other federal client projects

- With event-driven architecture

- With agile techniques, including leading with testing

- With full-stack development including database frameworks MongoDB and PostgreSQL

Nice to have skills

1. Typescript

2. Python
