The IBM – Public Sector Resourcing Team is seeking an Application Architect - Cloud Data Modernization for a contract opportunity in the Ottawa area.

Role description:

The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Deploy and integrate XMPP and Matrix chat across Test, Pre-Production, and Production-like GCP air gapped sandbox environments.

- Integrate chat with CORD3 data-security components and IBM Verify identity services.

- Support GitOps deployment, workload placement, networking, security hardening, logging, and monitoring.

- Support environment cloning and GDC-A/GDC-B interoperability testing.

- Produce deployment guides, runbooks, test evidence, and offline lifecycle documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance – Secret

2. Must have hands-on experience with following technologies:

1. XMPP and Matrix experience,

2. Robust Linux, Kubernetes, identity, networking, and application-integration skills.

3. Experience in air-gapped or regulated environments is strongly preferred.
