Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to design, develop, and support applications across Canada Markets platforms, including Equities, Fixed Income, and Mortgages. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with modernization initiatives and enterprise standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5 years of hands-on development experience in enterprise environments
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Java or similar backend technologies)
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and integration patterns
- Experience building, testing, and deploying code in structured environments
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices
- Experience working on legacy system upgrades, code remediation, and technical debt reduction
- Understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation
- Strong ownership mindset with focus on delivering stable and reliable solutions
- Experience in Capital Markets platforms such as Equities, Fixed Income, or regulatory-driven systems

Preferred Skills & Qualifications





- Exposure to platform modernization initiatives (e.g., JDK upgrades, cloud adoption)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience working in regulated environments with an understanding of risk, audit, and compliance expectations

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Collaborate with project managers, business partners, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely and reliable delivery
- Contribute to platform upgrades, remediation of vulnerabilities, and reduction of legacy technical debt
- Support production stability, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of applications
- Contribute to automation of operational processes and improve development and release workflows
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools and observability and monitoring frameworks
