Overview

Stonegate Electrical Contracting is looking for a skilled and motivated 2nd or 3rd term 309A Electrical Apprentice to join our team in Toronto and the GTA.

We are a boutique electrical contractor working across custom residential, renovations and commercial projects, with additional work involving architectural lighting, lighting controls, service upgrades, EV charging, generators and specialty electrical systems.

Our apprentices work directly alongside experienced electricians and are given increasing responsibility as their skills develop. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in clean, professional workmanship, is dependable, and genuinely wants to become a robust, well-rounded electrician.

This is a full-time position offering exposure to a wide variety of electrical work rather than repetitive production construction.

Duties

- Residential and commercial installations, renovations and service work
- Install conduit, EMT, BX/AC90, cable, boxes, devices and electrical equipment
- Complete electrical rough-in and finishing work
- Install lighting fixtures, receptacles, switches, panels and associated equipment
- Assist with service upgrades, EV chargers, generators and specialty installations
- Work with architectural and decorative lighting systems
- Read electrical drawings, plans and layouts
- Perform basic troubleshooting under licensed supervision
- Coordinate professionally with electricians, general contractors and other trades
- Maintain clean, organized and safe job sites
- Follow the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and company safety procedures

Requirements
- Currently registered as a 309A Electrical Apprentice in Ontario
- 2nd or 3rd term
- Hands-on residential and/or commercial electrical experience
- Good understanding of electrical installation fundamentals




- Comfortable with common electrical and power tools
- Able to complete appropriate tasks independently while following direction when required
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and organized
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Comfortable working in occupied homes and finished spaces
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Able to travel throughout Toronto and the GTA
- Working at Heights certification is an asset

Experience with custom residential construction, lighting controls, generators, EV charging, service work or troubleshooting is an asset, but not required. Compensation & Position

Starting wage will be based on apprenticeship level, previous experience and demonstrated ability.

Wage progression is based on skill development, responsibility and performance rather than apprenticeship term alone.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
