- Provide overall leadership for hospitality operations across the Nanoose Bay destination.
- Oversee a diverse operating portfolio including restaurant, golf food and beverage, boutique accommodation, retail, events, and guest-facing hospitality experiences.
- Lead additional hospitality operations including the coffee shop and market, weddings and events, golf cart service, and other guest-facing experiences.
- Lead through department and business-unit managers, creating transparent expectations, accountability, communication, and operating discipline.
- Take ownership of overall business performance, ensuring operational plans, deliverables, budgets, and KPIs are achieved.
- Work closely with senior leadership and the Controller to review financial performance, identify opportunities, manage costs, and improve profitability.
- Drive revenue growth and identify opportunities to strengthen performance across all hospitality operations.
- Maintain a strong presence across the operation while empowering managers to lead their respective businesses.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, service delivery, guest satisfaction, systems, and overall operating performance.
- Establish consistent operating standards and processes while respecting the unique character of each hospitality concept.
- Champion a hospitality-first culture focused on creating memorable, thoughtful, and engaging guest experiences.
- Support the planning and execution of weddings, events, seasonal programming, and destination experiences.
- Participate in the evaluation and potential launch of new hospitality initiatives, including a proposed experiential golf entertainment concept targeted for 2027, subject to board approval.
- Build strong relationships across the broader organization and ensure hospitality operations remain aligned with overall business priorities.
- Provide leadership for golf-related food, beverage, and hospitality operations.
This position does not oversee golf course grounds, turf, or maintenance operations.
Requirements
- Senior hospitality leadership experience overseeing multiple restaurants, hotels, resorts, clubs, golf hospitality operations, or similarly diverse guest-facing businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, take ownership, and make sound business decisions without requiring significant day-to-day direction.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and continuously improve performance.
- Strong business and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, revenue, labour, costs, KPIs, and profitability.
- Proven ability to lead through managers and develop capable, accountable leadership teams.
- A genuine hospitality mindset with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on operational involvement when required.
- Strong communication skills and the maturity to work collaboratively with ownership, senior leadership, finance, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Confident navigating multiple businesses, competing priorities, and evolving growth opportunities.
- Experience within resort, destination, golf, restaurant, hotel, events, or lifestyle hospitality environments would be particularly valuable.
