The incumbent provides program consultation and coordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, supervision, preceptors students in formal clinical practicum, and provides professional public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. The incumbent acts as a resource for other professionals for mental health and addictions in the community.
Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - 2 years working experiencein community mental health and addictions services
- Supervisory experience is an asset Education - Degree in a health or social science related field.

Education and Training - Registered/eligible registration with appropriate licensing body if applicable Knowledge and Abilities - Knowledge in best practices in addictions and harm reduction strategies
- Knowledge in various mental health disorders and stability interventions
- Exp. in mental health & addictions community outreach & crisis interventions
- Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Work collaboratively w/ a multidisciplinary team & other agencies in the commnty
- Knowledge of community resources in the addictions field.
- Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and Regulations
- Above avg. clinical assessment,case planning, consultation & supervision skills
