Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and desserts, following established recipes and standards
- Support the decorating and finishing of cakes with creative designs and detailed piping techniques
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Help with ingredient measurement, mixing, baking, and packaging to ensure quality and consistency
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment that complies with health regulations
- Collaborate with the pastry team to develop new recipes and presentation ideas that excite our guests
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when appropriate and ensuring their satisfaction with our products
Skills
- Proficiency in cake decorating techniques and food presentation skills
- Previous restaurant or bakery experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, baking, and cooking methods within the food industry
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes is a plus
