Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions using medical terminology and analysis skills to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver hands-on therapy techniques such as manual therapy, massage, and therapeutic exercises to facilitate recovery.
- Manage case documentation efficiently using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialized case management software to track patient progress.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including nurses and physicians to coordinate acute care interventions and ensure seamless patient care.
- Educate patients on injury prevention strategies, rehabilitation exercises, and post-treatment care instructions in multiple languages as needed.
- Assist in developing organizational protocols for patient flow, treatment scheduling, and documentation accuracy within hospital settings.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge of therapeutic equipment and modalities to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of medical terminology sports medicine principles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and case management purposes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to therapeutic devices or equipment used in rehabilitation settings.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism while providing compassionate patient care.
