We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Autobody Technician Apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced technicians to learn all aspects of vehicle body repair, refinishing, and restoration. This position is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in the automotive repair industry who are eager to develop their skills through hands-on experience and training.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in repairing and refinishing vehicle bodies and frames.
- Prepare damaged vehicles for repair by removing parts, sanding, and masking surfaces.
- Perform minor repairs such as dent removal, filler application, and priming.
- Learn and follow safety standards and repair procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and properly.
- Support team members in completing repairs efficiently and accurately.
Education & Training Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of Level 1 or Level 2 Technical Training in Auto Body / Collision Repair (BCIT, VCC, or equivalent accredited college program).
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2+ years of practical experience working in a collision repair or auto body shop setting.
- Hands-on experience using basic body repair shop tools and surface preparation techniques.
