Job Title: Azure Architect / SME

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Job Summary:

We are looking for highly skilled Azure Architects / SMEs with proven expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and modern cloud solutions on Microsoft

Azure. The ideal candidate should bring strong experience in Azure Kubernetes Service

(AKS), Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure networking, and Application PaaS services,

with a passion for modernization and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, architect, and implement enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Azure.
- Lead cloud transformation projects with a focus on modernization and automation.
- Build and optimize scalable, secure, and resilient architectures using AKS, AAD,

and Azure-native networking components.

- Leverage Azure PaaS services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid,

Logic Apps, API Management, etc.) to build modern applications.

- Drive cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Development, Security,

Infrastructure) to ensure seamless delivery.

- Provide SME-level guidance, mentoring, and technical leadership to engineering teams.




- Evaluate emerging Azure technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 6–8 years in Azure architecture &

solution design.

- Expertise in:

o Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) – containerization, orchestration, scaling,

monitoring.

o Azure Active Directory (AAD) – identity management, RBAC, security integration.

o Azure Networking – VNets, Firewalls, Application Gateway, Load Balancers,

ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway.

o Azure PaaS Services – App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, API

Management, Service Bus, Event Grid.

- Solid knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM/Bicep/Terraform.
- Proven track record of driving cloud modernization initiatives and implementing automation.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps,

GitHub Actions).

- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent certifications).
- Experience in regulated environments (Finance, Healthcare, etc.).
- Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud strategies.
