Dolce Coffee House is seeking friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Barista/Cashiers to join our team. The successful candidates will prepare quality beverages, serve food and desserts, process customer transactions, and help maintain the welcoming, stylish atmosphere our customers expect from Dolce.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Take customer orders accurately and answer questions about menu items.
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and other café products.
- Serve pastries, gelato, desserts, panini, and other food items according to Dolce’s presentation standards.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, debit, credit, and gift-card transactions.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and refer serious issues to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service counter.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tables, counters, display cases, and customer areas.
- Restock cups, lids, ingredients, napkins, and retail products throughout the shift.
- Monitor product freshness and follow proper food-storage and rotation procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation and daily cleaning.
- Work cooperatively with other team members during busy service periods.
- Help create an elegant, positive,



and memorable customer experience.

Qualifications
- Previous barista, cashier, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is preferred.
- Experience preparing espresso-based beverages is an asset; training will be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and well-presented.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable handling cash and using a point-of-sale system.
- Able to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced workplace.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and product presentation.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
- Must be available for mornings 8:30 am - 4pm, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to safely lift and carry supplies weighing up to approximately 25 pounds.
