Located within a healthcare environment, our café serves healthcare professionals, staff, patients, visitors, and members of the community. This unique setting requires someone who is patient, compassionate, professional, and comfortable serving a diverse clientele with varying needs. Your ability to communicate respectfully, remain composed, and approach every interaction with care will be an significant part of this role.

In this fast-paced position, you will prepare quality beverages and food, provide attentive customer service, process transactions accurately, and help maintain a clean and organized café. Your reliability, attention to detail, and positive attitude will contribute to the smooth operation of the store and the welcoming environment we strive to provide.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and other menu items with consistency and attention to quality
- Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service to every customer
- Operate the POS system and process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café, including beverage, food preparation,



and customer areas
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
- Restock products and supplies as required throughout the shift
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and quality
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a supportive work environment
- Demonstrate patience, discretion, and good judgment when interacting with customers in a healthcare setting
- Assist with opening and closing duties as scheduled

Requirements

- Previous barista, café, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, patient, and professional approach.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a healthcare or similar supportive environment is considered an asset.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods throughout shifts

We are looking for someone who is dependable, approachable, comfortable working independently when required, and genuinely enjoys creating positive experiences for others. Pay: $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
