Wage:

$37.00 per hour / Full-time

Location of Work:

Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Province of Ontario

:

- Repair or replace roofing systems
- Detect leaks
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Repair, replace or install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
- Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
- Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
- Pour hot asphalt and tar
- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
- Set-up scaffolding

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:





Hand-eye co-ordination, physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads; Large workload, Repetitive tasks, overtime required, work under pressure, fast-paced workplace.

Area of specialization:

Conventional and inverted built-up system, modified roofing system, rigid pre-formed roofing system, single ply sheet membrane roofing system

Work Site Environment:

At heights, Noisy, Dusty, Dangerous, Outdoors

Work Setting:

Commercial, industrial

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial flat roofing
