Description
This position is listed as "Onsite"; the resource is expected to work 7.25 hours per calendar day between the standard working hours of 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) every Monday to Friday inclusive at the identified OPS office location
Responsibilities:
- Supports Client's wide-ranging business information requirements, implementing and supporting business intelligence software solutions
- Develops and supports customized query applications which analyze key business data
- Develops and supports guided analysis and drill-down functionality, routine scheduling and notification of report generation, and effective implementation of "prospect” and "key-trend” alerts.
- Provides Clients with approach options and tools for managing business-related data in a manner that assists in quantitative analysis of progress and the relationship between operational actions and their effect on business objectives.
General Skills:
- Experience with analyzing data in source systems to identify data cleanliness issues (e.g. missing values, duplicate meanings, and invalid data)
- Experience with developing feedback processes to fix corrupt data in the source systems
- Experience with developing data extraction, transformation, and load programs (daily and initial load) functionality on a wide-range of data repositories (relational and multi- dimensional data stores)
- Experience with developing, implementing and maintaining schedule/dependency logic for Extract Transform Load (ETL) scripts
- Experience with developing monitoring and error notification processes to ensure data is updated as designed
- Experience with developing automation extraction, cleansing and load scripts
- Experience generating research models and reports (scheduled and ad-hoc)
- Proven troubleshooting and analytical experience
- Experience in process decomposition/mapping and business process re-engineering and complex data models using UML.
- Experience in the use of development tools and business re-engineering software
- Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. business, logical, and physical models) based on Enterprise Application Processes and Modeling methodology and guidelines
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in developing data analysis applications
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
- Ability to provide expert advice in developing and integrating process and information models to enable identifying and eliminating redundant business processes
- Experience with developing monitoring and error notification processes to ensure data is updated as designed
- Hands on experience working with stakeholders to develop and document interface specifications design between Business Intelligence solutions and external applications
- Extensive experience with conceptual, logical and physical data modelling tools like Power Designer, and Visio.
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards

- You have knowledge and experience in Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) architecture, design and processes and tools for Microsoft platform (SQL Server ETL, SSIS, DataFactory, Oracle ).
- You have knowledge of the principles/techniques of large-scale business intelligence and data warehouse/database design and information management concepts.
- You have practical hands-on experience in design and development of BI solutions.
