Title: Business & Technology Integration - Business Process Designer

Duration: 6+ months (contract)

Introduction

This role involves managing the end-to-end design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence modules. The position requires collaboration with finance, HR, and IT teams to create accurate, compliant, and scalable workforce solutions. The primary focus will be on the remediation of the Canada Payroll and Time Tracking modules as part of a Finance Transformation program.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3 minimum, 5 preferred years of experience in Workday Payroll & Workday Time Tracking.
- 5 years of Workday experience in Payroll and Time Tracking modules.
- Active Workday Payroll and Workday Time Tracking certifications.
- Proven track record of leading Payroll/Time workstreams in full lifecycle Workday deployment projects.
- Deep knowledge of regional payroll compliance, legislative rules, and leave management.
- Experience handling complex or unionized pay structures and time tracking requirements.
- Strong skills in building advanced Workday reports for data validation processes.




- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Working hours in Eastern or Mountain standard Time.
- Ability and willingness to travel onsite as per project need.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Lead functional design workshops and requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
- Configure Workday Payroll business processes, pay groups, earnings, deductions, and tax setups.
- Configure Time Tracking rules, including calculations for overtime, shift premiums, and accruals.
- Oversee end-to-end (E2E) testing cycles, user acceptance testing (UAT), and parallel payroll runs.
- Troubleshoot system errors, retro-pay calculations, and integration data flows.
- Partner with integration teams to manage inbound/outbound EIBs and third-party vendor connections.
