Cheed Home Care is looking for a compassionate, dependable female caregiver to support a senior client in Calgary.

This is a client-specific assignment. The successful caregiver must be able to communicate in English and Telugu.

A female caregiver is required for this assignment due to the client's personal-care and privacy needs.

Responsibilities The caregiver will provide respectful, non-clinical support in the client's home, including:

- Companionship and conversation
- Assistance with daily routines
- Personal care, including assistance with bathing, grooming and dressing as required
- Mobility and walking support
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping and tidying
- Laundry and changing linens
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Accompanying the client to appointments or community activities
- Transportation when required
- Medication reminders only — no medication administration
- Respite and general support for the client and family
- Monitoring the client's general wellbeing and communicating any concerns to Cheed Home Care
- Providing care with dignity, patience, cultural sensitivity and respect

Requirements

Applicants must

- Be female,



due to the personal-care and privacy requirements of this specific client assignment
- Speak English and Telugu
- Have previous experience providing senior care, home support or caregiving
- Have a valid driver's licence
- Have their own reliable vehicle
- Be comfortable providing personal care
- Be reliable, punctual, patient and compassionate
- Be comfortable working independently in a client's home
- Be respectful of the client's culture, preferences, routines and privacy
- Be willing to complete a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check

First Aid/CPR certification and Health Care Aide or related training are considered assets.
