Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cement Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly finishing concrete surfaces to ensure smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing results across various projects. Your expertise will help bring construction visions to life, contributing to the integrity and quality of our structures.

Duties

- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Set forms and molds accurately according to blueprints and schematics, ensuring precise dimensions and alignment for concrete placement.
- Operate heavy equipment like power trowels, screeds, and mixers to facilitate efficient concrete finishing processes.
- Install rebar reinforcement and assist with masonry and carpentry tasks as needed to prepare surfaces for finishing.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately and efficiently.
- Perform restoration work on existing concrete surfaces, including crack repair, patching, caulking, and resurfacing.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for tasks such as cutting, grinding, drilling, and shaping materials.
- Assist with installation of flooring, drywall,



or other related construction elements that complement concrete work.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and material handling to maintain a safe work environment.

Experience

- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with a strong understanding of masonry, restoration, and renovation techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge including operation of heavy equipment such as power trowels, mixers, or scaffolding setups.
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete forming processes, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, welding basics, and drywall installation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., trowels, floats) and power tools (e.g., grinders, drills) essential for detailed finishing work.
- Construction experience encompassing carpentry skills like framing or form building is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision in finishing tasks.
- Knowledge of flooring installation techniques relevant to concrete surfaces is a plus.
