Maine Township High School District 207 has a vacancy for a Certified Assistant Athletic Trainer at Maine Township High School District 207. This is a school-year position (10-month), beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred

- Hold and maintain National Athletic Trainers Association BOC certification, and Illinois State Licensure or eligible

- Strong backgroundin functional rehabilitation is desired

- Possess valuable communication and organizational skills

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and parents

- Ability to deal courteously and professionally with both public and staff

- Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks at a time and be effective with time management.

- Must be self-directed and self-motivated in job-related tasks

- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assess initial injuries to athletes

- Rehabilitate athletic injuries

- Assess and report the progress of recovering athletes to coaches

- Work with physicians on the progress of recovering athletes when applicable

- Notify parents of an injury and recommended appropriate medical care when it has been determined that a significant athletic injury has occurred





- Communicate with coaches when athletes are ready to return to play

- Communicate athletic injuries with parents, including return to play

- Maintain athletic training room budget, including ordering and receiving

- Administer Impact testing to all student/athletes

- Maintain Impact test results for all student/athletes

- Willingness to work longer hours and able to work weekends.

- Must be an effective communicator.

- Communicate all medical concerns/issues to the school nurseAssist with the purchasing of athletic equipment, specifically protective equipment

- Assist with maintaining an inventory of equipment for athletics and Physical Education

- Assist coaching staff with implementation of conditioning and fitness plans for athletes

- Counsel athletes on nutrition and hygiene

- Assist with the inspection and safety of athletic facilities

- Assist in certifying coaches for CPR and AED training

- Coordinate AED placement for athletic facilities

- Implement student athletic trainer program

- Additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

SALARY and BENEFITS

- The salary range, based on education level and experience is $47,000 - $65,000 (prorated based on start date)

- Total paid days 260 days

- Total paid hours 1,733.4

- Medical & dental insurance

- 13 paid holidays

- Paid term life insurance policy equal to annual base salary.

- IMRF pension - employees vested after 10 years of employment

- Monday- Saturday (evenings and weekends)
