Adecco is currently recruiting for a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) on behalf of a well-established educational institution in Calgary.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly analytical finance professional to work closely with the Vice President, Growth & Initiatives and CFO , providing financial reporting and strategic financial analysis support.

Location: Calgary, AB

Short term project: 3-Month Contract (Immediate Start)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze financial reports for executive leadership.
- Support the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Develop insights and recommendations based on financial performance.
- Conduct variance analysis and reporting.
- Assist with strategic financial initiatives and special projects.
- Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Prepare executive-level dashboards, presentations, and reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide scenario analysis and financial impact assessments for strategic initiatives.
- Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.




- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by the CFO and executive team.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of financial data used for reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation required with a minimum 5 years of financial Analyst experience
- Direct financial analysis experience at progressively more senior levels
- Strong financial reporting and analytical experience
- Proactive approach to problem solving – resourceful and creative with an ability to see the bigger picture
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
- Leadership role in Finance including interfaces with all levels of stakeholders and supervisory experience
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to senior leaders
- Experience working with executive stakeholders and leadership teams
